The Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce holds its weekly General Membership Luncheon at noon Aug. 12 at the Westmark Fairbanks Hotel, 813 Nobel St. The program features John Torgerson with the division of agriculture. The Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce holds its weekly Must Be Tuesday luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Mat-Su Resort, 1850 Bogard Road. The program features Steve Denton, vice president of business development with Usibelli Coal Mine in Healy, speaking about the Emma Creek Energy Project. The spotlight is on Gardiner Business Support Services and sponsor recognition for the Fourth of July Independence Festival. Greeters are Fred Schwaderer of USKH and Leslie Schwaderer of Larsen Chiropractic. Program fees are $3 for members and $5 for nonmembers with optional lunch available. The Greater Palmer Chamber of Commerce holds its weekly membership luncheon at noon Aug. 13 at the Palmer Moose Lodge, 1136 South Cobb St. The program will feature Ron Burkshardsmeier, president of the Mat-Su Home Builders Association. His topic is real estate and business opportunities in the Matanuska Valley. Cost is $12 with lunch or $3 without lunch for chamber members.
